A Service Engagement typically consists of a number of financial projects in the accounting system (for example GFS).
Project Accounting transaction data is monthly made available in a datawarehouse called N2K Delivery. This is the
mandatory financial reporting and forecasting application for an Engagement Manager.
Within N2K Delivery the Engagement Manager will setup the reporting structure enabling him to manage the Service
Engagement’s financials at the right level (top-down) and perspectives (Services, Additional work, Projects, Resell).
The structure is also important in order to correctly calculate the different types of DVI and report upwards in the
Capgemini hierarchy on OTACE, Risks and Issues.
The Financial Configuration must enable the Engagement Manager to:
-
Identify the different contracts within the Service Engagement.
-
Group financial Service Engagements and report and analyze the financial KPI’s in line with the defined targets.
-
Calculate the DVI by DVI-type across the underlying financial Service Engagements.
The structure of time writing in Service Engagements related to the tasks executed under USM will be standardized using
the WBS of USM.
This task assures that the centrally defined structure will be available in the time writing systems used.
